MTN Manual and Automatic GPRS Configuration of Phones

MTN AUTOMATIC GPRS CONFIGURATION OF PHONES

To configure your phone automatically for internet browsing using MTN, type the word "SETTINGS" as SMS and send to "3888" and save the configuration setup that will be sent to you.

But if your phone cannot be configured by this process then use the manual settings below

STEP TWO (MANUAL SETTINGS/CONFIGURATION)

Go to phone settings =>  Configuration  =>  Personal Configuration Setting

Press Option button

Choose “Add New”  =>  Choose “Access Point” and fill in the following

Account Name: MTN GPRS

 “Access Point Settings”  =>  Data Bearing (Choose Packet Data) and go back to

Bearing Settings and fill in the following

Packet Data Access Point: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

Network Type: Choose “IPV4”

Authentication: Choose “Normal”

Username Name: web

Password: web

Enter New Password: web

Verify New Password: web

Now, Go Back To

Configuration  =>  Default Configuration Settings (Choose “personal Settings)

Finally go to “Preferred Access Point” (choose “MTN GPRS)

YOU ARE DONE !!!!!
